WelcomHeritage Shivavilas Palace is a majestically domed palace-hotel in Sandur, near Hampi. As part of the royal possessions of the Ghorpade rulers of Sandur, this palace is skilfully embellished with intricate jali work, high ceilings, elaborate carvings on the pillars and doors. Hampi:  The UNESCO world heritage site - Hampi, known for its ruins belonging to the quondam dissidents of the mighty Vijayanagara kingdom. Hampi was an important center for trade and commerce during medieval times and the first settlement of Hampi dates back to the 1st century AD. It is famous for its monolithic sculptures of Hindu Gods, temples, and other marvels of excellent craftsmanship.

Badami Cave:  It is a complex of Hindu and Jain cave temples built by Chalukyas around the 6th century in Badami. A total of 4 caves, previously known as ‘Vatapi’ has statues and figures of Hindu and Jain divinities and are carved out of sandstone on a hill cliff. These caves are the oldest firmly-dated Hindu cave temple in India and also a UNESCO world heritage site. These caves along with the ones in ‘Aihole’ became the experimentation ground for the Hindu temple architecture of India.

Lotus Mahal is surrounded by green gardens. This unique architecture of Indo-Islamic style is one of few monuments surviving the city attacks by the Deccan sultanate.
