Five kilometres away from the city centre of mesmerizing Blue City of Jodhpur, lay a lake of mythical proportions known by the name Balsamand Lake. This stupendous lake was designed as a water basin, which extends over a kilometre in length, fifty meters in breadth, and fifteen meters in depth. Although the lake was built in the 12th century, the magnificent red stone palace that flanks the lake was built in the 17th century by Maharaja Jaswant Singh I of Jodhpur. In recent years, the exquisite palace has been transformed into one of the best heritage hotels in Jodhpur - WelcomHeritage Bal Samand Lake Palace. It now stands as a testament of old-world charm and modern muse fused together. One gets transcended into a fairy-tale once they step into this majestic Palace set amidst 60 acres of private estate frilled with fruit orchards, manicured lawns, and flower gardens. Take a romantic walk through the boulevard on the lake that leads to the palace or dine out like a princess amidst the fragrance of seasonal florals in any of the restaurants that dot the massive garden.  If you want to have a taste of royalty while being comforted by modern facilities, then this is the best hotel in Jodhpur Rajasthan to be at.
